ABOUT ME

I’m Laura Jones, a coach and former artist manager with nearly two decades of experience working in the music industry.

Before launching Side B, I spent years managing artists, producers, songwriters and mixers through the highs, lows and complexities of building a career in music. I’ve worked closely with people through moments of momentum, uncertainty, reinvention and burnout, and I know how demanding this industry can be, both professionally and personally.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the conversations happening underneath the day-to-day work: the questions about purpose, identity, ambition, sustainability and what success actually means. Questions so many people in music are carrying, often quietly.

That’s what led me to coaching.

Through Side B, I create space for people working in music to pause, reflect, and get clearer on what comes next. My work is rooted in thoughtful conversation, practical support and the belief that careers can evolve in ways that are both ambitious and sustainable.

My approach is shaped by both my industry experience and my coach training. I trained with Lumia, an ICF-accredited coaching programme, and bring a style that is warm, grounded, future-focused and collaborative.

Originally from the UK, I spent many years living and working in New York before relocating to Baja California Sur, Mexico. That personal shift gave me the space to reflect on my own relationship to work, ambition and success, and continues to inform how I support others navigating change.

Side B is for those moments when something is shifting — when you know you want more clarity, more alignment, or simply a different way forward.
